I have a 15 foot palm tree growing in front of my house. It has a trunk that is approx. 12" wide. I know nothing about palm trees but I have been told that it is worth alot of money. I would like to sell it as it doesnt suit our house.

Any ideas or direction would be appreciated.

Photos are the first step to identification. Value depends largely on what the market will bear, and you're not likely to get a better price than what someone can buy one in a nursery for, so that's a good place to start looking after you find out what it is.

It's only worth "a lot of money" to the right person. Now you have to find that right person (what ever a lot of money means?)
