I was looking to plant a few palms like this one from my old street onto my new property.

    Could anyone identify this palm?

    Is it a Jubaea chilensis?

    thanks

No, it's Phoenix canariensis, without a doubt.

Phoenix canariensis also known by it's common name, Canary Island Date Palm (CIDP). Give them plenty of room and don't plant where there's overhead obstructions.

    Cheers, LPN.

Here is a Jubaea chilensis for comparison. Taken at Lotusland, 1/22/07.

How much would you say a Phoenix Canariensis of this size would cost?
