Hi I live in the north island region and have some sort of palm tree in my yard. Last week my landlord informed me it has to go, very unfortunate. I was wondering if there is any way take a clipping and try to save a little of my tropical setting? It is a huge tree and I am not sure if they are willing to transplant.
    Cheers from the north island:)

Your landlord should be ashamed! He probably likes Rhodos or something like that! How tall is the palm, do you have any pictures to help Identify it? It is likely a Trachycarpus Fortunei - windmill palm. Depending on its size it could be worth some big money - let me know. Cut and paste a digital photo....
