I have a scented orchid that has 3 plants in one pot - how do I divide them into 3 separate plants.

Your advise will be greatly appreciated

It looks to be some type of Phalaenopsis so I guess my first question is are the plants physically connected (ie: are two of the plants offsets of the mother plant) or were three plants potted together as babies? Either way it is do-able. I usually soak my plants in luke warm water before repotting. The biggest job is separating the roots and removing old media. Once you have carefully cleared away the old media and any dead roots (soft, squishy, brown, stringy) you will either have three plants or you will be able to see how well developed the root systems are on the two smaller plants. If the the two plants are attached and DO NOT have well developed root systems don't separate them until they have several roots at least a couple of inches long.
Does your orchid have a name tag? Sometimes knowing the identity of an orchid will give clues as to how it 'behaves'.

    Good Luck
