I started some seeds (lettuce and herbs) about two weeks ago. They have sprouted but just today I found some orange spots all over the soil. I'm guessing it is a fungus and possibly from me watering too much? I scraped off what I could from the soil but it is hard to get all of it. Are the seedling doomed?
    Thanks!

Next time try a seed-starting mix if you're doing it indoors. It will have less organic matter, and ingredients that are much less likely to mold.
For this batch you could try a lot more sun and a dusting of milled sphagnum moss over the top of the soil.
