I live in Louisville, Kentucky and have a hibiscus tree on my deck. I know I need to bring it indoors for the winter but when? Just before it freezes? What low temperature? Thanks for your help. Peggy
from http://www.trop-hibiscus.com/index.html Here is a link to their winter care page: http://www.exotic-hibiscus.com/care/winter.htm Remember when you bring them in to check for pests and treat if necessary.
You should take you Hibiscus in when the temperatures begin to go below 10 degrees celius, this will prevent any added stres to your hibiscus. Plus, getting it it before it gets really cool out you won't loose any or as many flower buds. My hibiscus are one of the first plants i bring in in the fall.
