Found this lovely group of Amanita in someone's yard in Seattle near Seattle University. The big open one is 9 inches, 23 cm across. It was like a little Halloween mushroom forest under the shrub. I think it was a variegated Pieris.

My neighbour put me onto this group of Amanita muscaria, fly agaric, next to the entrance to a parking garage at an apartment building a few blocks from me in the West End of Vancouver. She thought they numbered around four dozen. None was as large as what @Eric La Fountaine posted - they were more like 8 or 9cm in diameter.
