I was surprised how much green this had on it when I saw it today. Does anyone know if it is a native type? It looks more attractive than the store-bought Arrowhead potted plant that I have in my house.

Forms patches, much to the annoyance of those who want everything to remain a small clump, tuft or bush.

I cannot agree, in fact there was recently a post elsewhere asking about this plant, the gardener being dismayed to find it coming up over a large part of her recently purchased Oregon property. If it were as frequent there would surely be as many posts griping about it as those mentioning bluebells (Hyacinthoides x massartiana).
