no roots

  1. i bought a lucky bamboo plant. Its pretty tall with leaves at the top but it has no roots, why?

    First, it's not bamboo, but Dracaena, like the tall skinny-trunk tree-plants with long very skinny leaves, often with red or white margins. Secondly, it will grow roots, but if you keep it in water, it may take some time. If it looks healthy otherwise, don't worry - It's just a cutting to begin with and being in water, doesn't really need many roots to anchor it. You could grow it in soil too if you wanted, but wait for roots first.
