I recently brought a corn plant (Massangeana (Dracaena fragrans)... I think) home from a nursery. It's placed in a bright north facing location and I haven't repotted it. I've had it less than a week and its starting to yellow off already. The soil still feels moist (I've been checking daily) and I haven't wanted to overwater. So... not sure why its yellowing off and what I should do about it, any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Make sure the pot has really good drainage.
Make sure the potting media is not too dense.
Do not have the pot sitting in a saucer or dish where water collects?
Was it chilled during the ride home?
Is it in a warm enough location?
What type of lighting conditions was the plant kept in at the nursery? Lots of plants do not like change and will react in a variety of manners after a substantial relocation.
For me, a north facing location is not bright, but I doubt the yellowing is a result of that.

Describe the yellowing further- is it the entire leaf, does it start at the tips, ect.
    Is it drooping?
A photo of the affected area would be of tremendous help.

If I was just guessing I would think it has to do with overwatering- that in combination with cold roots sitting in a collection saucer is a recipe for disaster.

Good luck and please post a photo!
