Greetings and Salutations All: I am a Permaculture Design Consultant whom has recently moved from Robert's Creek to Powell River (alas, the lower Sunshine Coast has been taken over by property speculators). I am starting a permaculture nursery in which I hope to sell usefull plant packages to small holding farmers across Canada (ie. poultry, cattle, hog forage tree's and shrubs). While not new new to gardening or designing gardens, I realized that a vast majority of the plants I am bringing in from afar might have an equivilant here. My moto for 'invasive species' is that lawns follow humans and demand worship. All else is fair game! In Lake'ch (I am another yourself...Mayan) Lance
Hello Lance, welcome to the Forums. I wish you success in your business. I am not sure if I understand your comment about invasives. There are some weblog entries on invasive plants and some discussion on the Forums as well. They can do a lot of ecological and economic damage so we do need to be careful what we introduce. In reality though very few plant introductions become invasive. Cheers,
