New Avacado tree

    We planted a 6 foot tree purchased from a local nursery. We followed directions. Mulched the area, and watered well. Tree lost its leaves and then sprouted new buds and tiny leaves which are showing signs of curling and a little withered at the ends. We have we done wrong?

    The other thing about these is that there are quite a number of different varieties available with different cultural requirements. Varieties that do well in areas of California may not do so well in Florida, and vice-versa. Here's a pretty good article on avocados that lists some of the many varieties available:
