I'm in Central Jersey. Have a small arbor ... vines now 4 years old. Last year I lost 2 ... about 6 left. (The remaining vines put out more grapes than ever before) The arbor is not about wine... it's about the shade. It's recreating a childhood memory. I'd like to replace the lost vines with something more substantial than cuttings or the $2.00 box at Home Depot. Where might I buy/get/obtain or otherwise find something more substantial? Thanx, LouJ
There are non or small fruiting grape varieties (and other vines) that are selected specifically for their foliage. Try a local nursery for something appropriate to your climate and "more substantial". A 1 or 2 year old potted vine will give you a 1 or 2 year head start over a cutting. Ralph
