We have tried to pick and get rid of these mushrooms, but we are curious if they are poisonous, our dogs run in the backyard, they are Basset Hounds so if it smells good they are attracted.

    Please help

    Hi Daryl,

Little beige mushrooms in lawns are not an easy group to ID from photo, but I & we can try: Needed is a spore print, a close up shot of underside of cap and of the whole stem, and if you could report and/or photo report on how the stem breaks in your hand.

If you've not done a spore print before: Choose a mature (not young not old) mushroom. Snip off a stem at the point it reaches the cap. Place gills side down on white paper. Leave in an undisturbed spot for at least a few hours or overnight.

    cheers,
    frog
