Identification: Need help ID this tree

Never seen one pruned up like that before! Makes it look odd.

Picea glauca 'Conica' for the scientific name.

 

Should I correct the names on my pics.
I have labelled them Picea glauca 'Albertiana Conica'

Cleaned the tree up a bit since there were lots of dead twigs within

I hate to say it but a tree like that should be put out of its misery. I can't think of anything that would mitigate the insensitive 'pruning'. Such a shame!
