Hello I need help, I have several trees I need to move with our house. 1)Fig tree, 2)peach tree, 3)banana trees, 4) a HUGE rosemary bush. Does anyone know how the roots go on these? ie: straight down, sideways. how deep. Any & all help would be greatly appreciated.

as a general reference, here is a pic. if you can give more info regarding soil type and perhaps pics of the plants / trees we may be able to give more specific answers. :)

Just curious why my post was moved to this forum? 3 of the 4 trees I listed are fruit trees, there for I would have assumed placing it in the fruit tree forum would have been the best place for an answer. Could any one help me with this answer as well?

Feel free to repost about the two fruit trees in the fruit tree forum, the banana plant in the tropicals forum and the rosemary plant in this forum. It was moved here because the questions were broader than just fruit trees, though in reality it probably should have been moved to the even more generic Hortboard forum, since banana plants aren't woody plants or trees.

Right now is a bad time to be digging and transplanting any trees. If there's any chance of leaving it til next March, or at least Nov, they'd have a much better chance of survival.
