i have a question and hope someone can help me. my nectarine hasn't been doing well at all. it puts on fruit, but they start to weep. there is also scaring on the outside of the nectarine. can someone tell me why it's doing that and what i can do to make it stop?

    Hello
Could the scaring be bird or squirrel bites that cause the fruit to sap? Also, have you opened any of the scarred fruit to see if their are any signs of larva inside which would mean insect bite at early stage.

they are very small nectarines. they start sapping by the time they are 2 inches. i have not seen any larva in them.
i'll be gone till next week, and i will try to get some pictures of it.

thank you for sending me the info. i'm still not sure what is causing the sapping. i have started watering it a lot more than i have been. some of the fruit have quit sapping, but there are still some still on there that are.
