Hi does anyone have ideas about natural herbs or other plants I can grow in the garden that will deter ants particularly but also the other little buggers that chomp and chow down on our plants? I have found that rosemary seems to keep the aphids off my Alexander rose. The rosemary is planted almost right underneath it. Do you think that rosemary may help? I have ants and want to find something natural (okay if it has to be toxic, note that too) to keep them at bay. I have heard marigolds help. are there perennials that I can plant about the yard? On a slightly different note: I have been using Leaf Shine which has Neem Oil in it on my roses as recommended. Anyone have any feedback? Thanks Steph in Abbotsford BC Zone 8
