My bush for the past 2 years has started to leaf out then the branch turns brown and the leaves crumble off. I have tried trimming back the branches but keeps spreading what can I do to stop this? Also my snow ball bush tree blooms and the white flowers turn brown and shrivel up all dry again is it an ant? What can I spray with. I live in the Kootenays. The Snowball is about 18 years old. The Nan King Cherry is 3 years old. Thanks

The Prunus tomentosa may have something like Monolinia or maybe even fire blight. The Viburnum opulus 'Roseum' may just be going out of bloom in the normal way. Are you getting a full span out of them, or do the flowers shrivel after only a short time?

Thanks for the answer Ron sorry not on line till just now. The plant leafed out in May and I cut back about 15 branches that were dried up dark brown so yes in just a short time. Any suggestions are appreciated. Karen

The Viburnum died back or the cherry?
