I would just like to say many thanks to Dick van der Maat and his Wife naming and registering a new Acer cultivar after my Wife, it is called A. palmatum Caroline.

I had the privilege of taking a photograph of it on a recent visit to Dick and Marjan's nursery in Boskoop NL.( see attached jpeg).

It is a multi- variegated JP and seems to be quite vigorous, with an upright habit.

Ashizuru, congratulations indeed. (And to Caroline, lest we forget!)

I got my first maples from Dick last fall, I must say I have never received a
healthier group. (with one exception, sadly). This nursery is as good as
    it gets at the moment.

That's extremely exciting! Fabulous!! When can we see that cultivar here in the US? Make sure Dick gets it to Diana Smith or some other reputable grower here so we can enjoy the beauty of Caroline as well! :)

A lovely name for a lovely plant!

I am still traumatized from hearing about a variety called Kandy Kitchen or some such horrible thing.

If I ever get to name one, I'm going to call it "Chrome Dinette." ;)
