Identification: Mystery in potted plant - you won't believe.

    This made my skin crawl. Has anyone seen such a thing before? Mold? Fungus? Insect eggs? This super high res image should make it easier to ID. What do you all think?

    Think we had this as a stumper when I first joined. I am pretty sure Chimera has got it.

    Amazing, ain't it? Drawings of these in my Golden Nature Guide to Non-flowering Plants amazed me back when I was a sapling in NY. The real thing is infinitely more unbelievable.

    I had some of that stuff too but mine was red and looked like guts, I should of taken a picture of it. :(

    Don't know if the 'red guts' was the same family of fungi? But.....lol
    These bird nest to me are amazing! They open up...wait for the water drops to 'pop' them out...and drop their 'eggs' in new locations. Nature is just incredible!
