I saw this flower at the UBC botanical garden a couple weeks ago. I didn't see a tag but I'm curious as to its identity. The 6 petals makes me think lily but the center almost looks like a passion flower. I saw near the entrance to the garden.

    Thanks,
    Adam

It's listed here as Tricyrtis macropoda (from Yungi Temple). It was purchased from Heronswood in 1999. I see a few postings of T. Yungi Temple form online. A couple images and descriptions match our specimen and a few others seem to show and indicate much lighter pink spots. Now I am curious if people have this selection in their gardens and what colour is it?

At any rate the tricyrtis have beautiful flowers and are a nice addition to the autumn show.
