I thought I would share some mushroom pictures I've taken over the years. I not a big mushroom buff so I do not know the names of them. All I know is that they make good subjects for photographs. Enjoy!

Illecippo! Good at identifying mushrooms or what?! Thanks alot. I need to get a book on mushrooms so I can easily identify them when out for hikes. I come across a lot but lack the knowledge to be able to consider a mushroom safe to eat and cook it up for supper. Any tips or book recommendations?

Again Frog, thanks for the great source. I think I will purchase this one just because I know I will support a great provincial park and its conservation efforts. Never actually been there but I have heard nothing but great things about the place. This book will definitely be a help as it will refer to just local species. Thanks again -LT

    You are welcome :-)
You are fortunate/wise to live in such a beautiful part of Canada!
If you ever run across Strobilomyces strobilaceous (oldmanofthewoods), please post a photo - we don't have anything like this here.
