I would like to move a 12 to 15 foot tall vine maple to another location in our yard. Any suggestions/tips for supporting a good result? It has been suggested to "root-prune" half way around now and then move the tree in the winter?? Any thoughts?? Thanks!
No point in cutting roots back beforehand. Dig any time from the time the leaves have turned color onward, very easy and tolerant subject.
