Identification: more plants.... what are they?!?!?

    I'v got more plants. now these ones i THINK i know the names to some of them.... but i want to make sure.... all were inherited by friends or family that don't know.

    1.i believe this is a areca palm. when i recieved it from my friend, he had cut all the fawns off.... main question- WILL IT LIVE???
    2.giant dumb cane?
    3.tomato plant?

    I don't know the first and third one....I would have guessed Diffenbachia amoena 'Tropic snow' for the second, had to google 'dumb cane' to make sure it was the same plant, I didn't realise 'dumb cane' was the common name, oh well you learn something new every day:)

    #3 looks like Radermachera sinica, China Doll.

    Difficult to tell which kind of palm you have but as long as an individual palm retains its growing tip, it has the potential to grow back. However, it may not have the energy to do so with all its fronds removed.

    Whatever the palm is that you have, you "might" see some little fronds come out near the bottom, or mid-way off the stalks, at least that's what mine does which is an Areca palm.

    The palm is toast unless you can transplant it in Costa Rica? No, seriously, it is very difficult to maintain palms in a residential setting, they need the correct levels of both heat and humidity in order to thrive...

    well im here in WA, USA and can't really get to Costa Rica anytime soon....
    is there a special way to remove it... or can i just "pull" it out???
