This A.J cultivar was named atropurpureum and it was placed among other "real" atropurpureums.My question,is this another cultivar? or is it damaged? To me it looks like a early bud damage,but can that realy be the case? There where 2 plants that looked the same among all the normal atropurpureum plants.On one of them a total normal branch could be seen,a reverse or a undamaged branch? Allmost all of the curly weard leafs had some kind of mechanical damage,but not all of them and not the new small leafs? Anaway, i talked to the sales person and told him to reduce the price becouse of the damage.So i bought it for 11 us dollar.If it is a damage, it will certenly recover next year. But i surely want it to be another cultivar! worst case scenario i have 2 atropurpureums in my garden which one was cheap! Edit/ on the first picture i put a normal atropurpureum next to compere. Sorry for my bad english ,second language....
