    hello,

I have recently purchased a habanero plant (it's potted, and about 25cm high), and in order to provide it with the temperature it needs to grow (30 degrees celcius), I have made a mini-greenhouse with a plastic bag. However, it is still May, and sustaining the temperature around 30 degrees right now, especially with it raining often, is proving difficult. So two questions. 1. How many air holes, if any do I have to put in my mini-plastic bag- greenhouse? No internet tutorial is specfic about this air issue. 2. What are some ways I can give it the heat it needs and deserves? Whether it be improving the mini-greenhouse structure, or other methods, it does not matter.

Well, what I'm concerned about is it running out of carbon dioxide. If I sealed the plastic bag around the plant, enough for moisture to circulate back and forth, would not the plant run out of CO2, which it needs? I am new at gardening, but does not the plant use up CO2, and then remove the carbon for photosynthesis, leaving only oxygen? I don't want to suffocate my plant. Is there a way that the Carbon gets recycled?

    thank you

No it won't sufficate it forms an enclosed environment. Sorry bit brain dead at this end of the day......... It's part of the water cycle and I think Carbon cycle Same system they are going to use on Mars.

    This might help

Some of these enclosed terrariums go for years. The trick is to get the water vapor right. Not too wet not too dry. Its also the way I do cuttings in a large soft drink bottle.

You can use some breathable fabric, make it in sock or other style, then stick it with your mini plastic bag style green house.Since the fabric is breathable,it can help to change CO2 and Oxygen.I hope it can give you some help.
