We have been advised to put in micro clover to replace our lawn. We live in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Does anyone have experience with micro clover? Can you advise us on this? Thanks!
Interesting, this is the first I have heard of microclover. It looks good to me. I tend to let clover grow in the yard, this microclover one would look better than coarser ones. http://blogs.vancouversun.com/2013/04/11/lawn-alternatives-the-great-grass-switchover/ http://plantscience.psu.edu/reduce-runoff/questions-about-microclover
The distributors are in North Langley and I keep an eye on a lawn they have installed fairly near my house. It certainly looks good & they tell me they mow and trim it pretty much the same as as the remaining grass lawn on the property. From casual inspection, it would be hard to tell the difference from a grass lawn. I would be interested to hear how people get on with planting this. Mind you, I am too busy encouraging moss and various other species in my mown-area to replant it right now.
