Meteorological Spring

    I heard on the radio that tomorrow is the first day of meteorological spring here!!! I was going to put on shorts and dust off the trowel but thought I'd better find out exactly what that means. My understanding is that meteorological spring is based on precipitation and tempurature. That's all I know. Thanks.

    Are you sure of that?

    Here, meteorological spring starts on 1 March, and astronomical spring on 21 March.

    Yeah, I agree with Michael F, it's March 1 for meteorlogical spring.

    Heh, we just got blasted here today with what'll probably end up, about 6" of powder :D

    Thanks. I wondered about the statement that it was "spring here". ok 7 more sleeps to go.
