I'll start with my favourite rhododendron, Rhododendron barbatum. This area seems to have been opened up now, and the view of these trees in bloom was beautiful, but I didn't get any photo that showed off the velvet appearance of these flowers in a group. This one is sweet. It's right next to the R. barbatum, but my friend Janet and I did not find the tag. Here's my next favourite: Rhododenron bainbridgeanum, with beautiful translucent flowers. The buds and leftover fruits on Rhododenron niveum were just as interesting as the showy flowers on the others. I had a hard time trying to get the colour on the Rhododenron parmulatum 'Ocelot' , and I don't think I did get it. It was the most delicate yellow. Daniel, didn't you just write something on colour in photographs? Where was that?
