    This plant always has flowers. The flowers last about four days. The red one seems to grow faster than the white. Both plants are climbing up the wire cement reinforcing trellis which is eight feet high. Flowers are on both sides of the plant so we see them smiling at us when we sit on the deck. My first year for this plant. Not sure about its winter weathering capabilities, but will know next year. I consider this plant a garden necessity. It is always a pleasure to view.

    Mandevilla are tropical plants. They might survive a zone 8 winter, but will die back to the ground.
