We are in Southern Ontario. We purchased, early in the season, some croci. They died off in the pots and we now have bulbs. We are wondering (can someone tell us) what we should do with them (how to handle them, ie plant them outside, refrigerate and plant later, etc) to assure we can enjoy them, outdoors, next spring ... and should we immediately plant, in the garden, the new (active) ones we just bought? (Snow's all but gone and the rain is visiting itself upon us - hansomely.) Thanks!
Store the pot/corms in a dark room temperature or cooler place and keep it just slightly moist. Plant them out in mid-June or so in the spot you want them. If planted earlier, the dormant corms may rot in the cold wet soil. The new ones in growth can be planted as soon as the frost has cleared enough that you can dig a hole. Simon
