I was given a copy of the map of the magnolias in the Ted and Mary Greig Rhododendron Garden in Stanley Park (drawn by Gerard Picher for Barbara and Alleyne Cook), thus I was able to look up the name of this yellow magnolia in bloom. So may I introduce Magnolia 'Yellow Lantern'. The new leaves are soft and fuzzy-feeling.

The sun wasn't out this afternoon - better for photos.
