I have a magnolia tree in my front yard thats not looking too good (it's about 20'). I have had some major reconstruction done to the house in the past 3-4 years as well as the areas around the perimeter of the house ie. taking down trees, excavating. The tree gets alot more sun and plenty of water.

It didn't bloom very well this past spring and it hasn't produced alot of leaves this summer. Is it in shock? or when they excavated did they put too much soil around it. could it be choking? any help would be appreciated.

    Can I attach photos?

    Thanks, Southbury CT USA
