    Hello,

Who knows a lot about bamboo? I live by Chinatown in Vancouver. I see lot of 5-gallon pails of 3 foot of a buck per piece. Is this the same as the little pieces of bamboo that are so popular these days? Am I able to cut it into smaller pieces, and if so where is the best place on it to cut it? I assume that I just saw it. I like a arrangements of the smaller pieces that I see, but $20, $30, or $50 is frankly ridicules. I would like to get some of these and make my own arrangements, does anyone have any suggestions about how best to do this?

    Thanks a lot

Hi, Lucky Bamboo isn't bamboo at all (Bambusa ... is). It's Dracaena. You can cut it just below any of the 'dividers', just stick it in water and wait for it to grow (make sure you keep the pieces right side up).
