Hey folks, new here. I have recently purchased a lotus plant. I am a very seasoned gardener including water plants but have never grown a lotus. I will be wintering in the pond but want to grow it on my deck. from the research I've read the pot is large enough and I have started fertilizing but I have come to a question of water depth. The tag that came with the plant said to fill the container up with water, about 10 inches or so but everything else I've read says not to put the crowns any more than 3 or 4 inches under water. any advice and additional info would be great. thanks Joe
Just be cautious, as several species of lotus are prohibited. Don't know how the new bill will effect it, but you might just have a bit of a look around...
