I just moved to Victoria and inherited a lovely collection of somewhat neglected shrubs that I am unfamiliar with. Wanting to hire someone to teach me how to prune these plants but realize the best time will be next February March. That said, I'd still like to solicit names of possible 'master pruners'. I'd like to have this organized sooner than later. Any recommendations you might have are appreciated. I want the work to be artfully done, not simply "shorn" without regard to the plant's growth habit. Looks like someone really butchered the Ilex Crenata that surrounds my outdoor patio space, for example. Types of plants in the yard include cotoneaster, Prunus lusitanica, Arbutus unedo, yew, ENglish laurel, Lonicera nitidus, Ribes divaricatum Douglas, Leycesteria, Escallonia, etc. Thanks for any leads!!
