Hi everyone, Does anyone know of a supplier of seeds that can supply a large variety of Japanese Maple seeds? I want to grow all types. I have lots of the standard ones that are easy to find online at the moment. I will pay for the seeds. I love to experiment with seeds. I currently grow: some JM, Northern Catalpa (love it), Kentucky Coffee (love it), Empress, Crape Myrtle, silk tree (cool), thornless honey locust ( nice), Sargent's flowering crab, AMerican Sycamore, London Planetree, Golden chain, Alpine Golden chain, golden rain, tree of heaven (for experiment), sensitive plant, chinese catalpa, blue ash, lacebark elm, butternut, corkscrew willow (from cuttings), Eastern Redbud (awesome), Ginkgo, black locust and korean mountain ash to name a few. I already have favs...for speed, appearance, etc. However, I really want to grow Japanese Maples...that was my initial plan, and still will be the ultimate goal. Anyone who knows of great sites to buy seeds...tell me please. I can tell you about germination techniques...re all the above trees, best trees to grow etc. Castawaykev
Kev, The UBC Botanical Garden may have seeds available, and a number of us here swap seeds as well. I live in an eastern woodland area with lots of different trees - maples, hickory, dogwood, sourwood, persimmon, oaks of all kinds - you name it! I have seeds coming out my ears...
