Hello, yesterday I found a lot of these little guys on our red-flowering currant (on Whidbey Island, WA). They don't seem to be causing any harm (unlike the tent caterpillars this year, and the pear slugs - don't get me started). This is just curiosity, because searching the web for a match has yielded nothing. I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer me. I don't want to kill, just appreciate.

    Thanks,
    Lizzy

    Looks like a leafhopper.

    Applaud your appreciation!

Thank you! I guess I had a hard time figuring that out because leafhoppers come in so many colours and shapes. So, he is sucking on the leaves, but that's not enough to make me do anything about it. Pretty little guy.

Thanks again. I love the people on this forum.
