    Hello,

I am new to this site, please be gentle. I have three Lilac tree's that I rescued from a local store. I won't list the name hence the term rescue. Anyway... they are not in full sun although I am trying to get them more sun by prunning a huge magnolia. They do get all morning into noon, SC sun can be brutal. I have a lot of suckers but the trees are not producing any leaves or flowers. They have been in ground about two months, I have given them miricale grow, and something to sweeten the ground (forget the name) potassium phosphate?
    1. Did I rescue them to late?
    2. Is it just a matter of fertilizer?
    3. Do I have to transplant them in full sun?
    4. Should I cut away all the suckers?

Thank you for putting up with this novel.
    Rosario

lilac, and common lilac all bloom in spring, since you "rescued" them and planted them in summer chances are they werent good quality plants in the first place, heat tends to put plants in shock, and your lilacs are probably in a short dormant period, so go ahead and keep watering them, and regular care, and you may be surprised next spring!!
