Hi. Can any one help. I have a fairly new vine which is 3 years old. It is growing well and seems to be very healthy. The vine has a good few bunches off grapes and I am constantly restricting new growth to aid grape maturity.

The only thing I do have a concern with is that it is only July and my leaves are turning autumnal already. Is this common or is there a reason for this?

    Probably needs to be watered.

Or there is something else at the root, causing the top to shut down.

Thanks for that. As you may know living in the uk we do get plenty of rain. With the root do you mean there is something that may be preventing the root going dowards or across?

As the roots go, so goes the top. Something is causing premature dormancy of the leaves. Often problems at the root manifest in behavior of the top. Drying or drowning of the roots causing yellowing and shedding of leaves is a familiar example.
