I have a few of questions regarding lawncare. I am attacking my moss and have been raking almost everyday for the past week. I need to know the order of doing things, when to water and the time delay between each step please? Ie; 1. rake 2. aerate 3. spray with moss killer (then water)? 4. add the lime (then water)? 5. add the seed (then water)? 6. fertilize (then water)? Okay, this is my first time ever doing lawn care. I have a lot moss near my cedar hedge and it's really dark and shady back there. Oh yeah, can you spray the moss on the trees with the moss killer too? Thanks again to everyone here for your help.
Why are you trying to kill the moss? Sounds like it might be doing better than the grass, and it's definitely lower maintenance... And again, why are you trying to kill the moss on the trees? It's not hurting them!
Hi Lorax, I've learned that there are lots of people that prefer moss to grass but I guess I'm just not one them. I'm not going to touch the trees as I've learned (by several others here) that the moss won't hurt the trees. So, the moss stays on the trees. I've pruned my trees to let some light through. I'm pretty new at gardening and lawn care. So, the more I read and converse with the more experienced, I'm learning more each day. Thanks Lorax!
