I am in the planning stages of laying out the locations for post holes leading to the construction of a wooden slat fence. This fence will be parallel to a chain-link fence that is in place and that has numerous remnants of heavy vines that grew under and through it. The remaining root stock is showing green sprouts sprout despite that I have applied numerous kinds of root killers. Because of the proximity of the chain-link fence - that belongs to the elementary school - it is virtually impossible to employ mechanical/whirling blade stump removal equipment. I'm looking for some kind of strong root-killer substance - liquid or other form - to kill these roots so that I can proceed with the wooden fence. Stymied
How many years have you been working on killing these roots? I'm not kidding, because depending on what plant it is, you may have to be vigilant about removing all greenery for a couple of years before you starve out the roots. Don't let those green sprouts stay around - they nourish the roots.
