Just wondering what are some of the things I can do to help my kaffir lime tree to grow. When I first purchased it this spring at 12" it grew another 6" or so very quick but has dramatically slowed down since. Right now it's just sitting at 22" tall. I have seen the ones at the place I bought mines from grown to almost twice mines size already.

I keep it by the window indoor.

    Thanks

If the tree was purchased from a greenhouse or a nursery, the comparison of growth rates in those locales to that of an indoor environment is not a valid one. The light, heat, and humidity levels are less than ideal in a typical indoor setting.

Make sure the tree is fertilized regularly during active growth using a high nitrogen fertilizer containing micronutrients. (e.g. Use a 30-10-10 on a monthly basis.) Exposure to bright light such as that from a window with a southern exposure would help. I suggest searching through and reviewing threads from the past on this subject.
