I have recently purchased a new Jasmine Tree covered with old bloom stems. Do I need to remove the old strems from spent blossoms to encourage new blooms or not? Also, what can I do to encourage frequent blooming...ideal lights, fertilizer, watering frequency, potting soil and pot size? Will appreciate any tips!

    Thanks,

Does it have a label with a botanical name? Otherwise, maybe describing it would be adequate. "Jasmine Tree" is probably not getting much of a response so far because jasmines are shrubs and climbers, there are many kinds.
