I've become really interested in Japonicums this year. I added six nice size ones to the 3 I got last year. I was comparing leaves because I have one unknown I got that was tagged Aconitifolium, which it obviously is not. That gave me the idea to take a comparison picture, I saw one with Shirasawanum and found it really helpful deciding on a couple I wanted. Now it's my turn to help someone else out. Some are turning fall colors so the comparison is just for shape and size. These are all good size trees so the comparison should be pretty fair. I left out my Giant moon because it only is a two year graft and I don't think it has fully developed leaves, they are smaller than all of these.
Anyway, check it out. If you think any are wrong, let me know. Also if you have any ideas on the unknown, please share.

Thanks JT, I wish I had more to share because I take so much from this forum. I don't have much time with the amount of hours I work right now but when I do get some free time it's fun to jump back on here and see what's new. It's rare I have much to share other than some pictures but I thought this would be a little more helpful. I see these trees all the time but I never noticed how really different each one is until I had all the leaves next to each other.

Thanks, I agree it's a great addition to the forum.

I suppose the measuring tape is in inches?...

Be nice if it could be re-done with centimetres, for that vast majority of the world's population who don't have a clue about inches ;-)

    Here you go, http://www.worldwidemetric.com/measurements.html

Just punch in the inches and you can see the centimeters measurement.
