    Hello,

My jade plant looks bad... It's healthy but I would like for it to remain upright and not drooping all over the place. Is there a way to fix this? I included a pic of the plant.

    Thanks !

    Luke

The knife is your friend luke. Cut it back, that's the only trick. All those leaves are simply too leavy for the stem, so prune back hard. It's not a waste though, all that you cut off can be rooted as cuttings and you can give plants to everyone you know. The rule I use for my jades is that "if it aims down, it comes off". It heals faster if you leave some green on each branch you want to keep, but I'm pretty sure that you can't kill it by pruning too hard... It just might not look at it's best until new leaves start coming in.

It looks like it may need more direct sun light as well, maybe positioned full length in front of, or a little under a south facing window so it grows more upwards and the stems grow thicker and stronger which will in turn support the leaf weight.

Thanks for all your plant advices. I'll prune it and move it to a south window!

    Regards,
