Has anyone found any nurseries, etc that sell these tropical trees? Or is ordering seeds online the only way to acquire these unique, amazing trees? :)
I can't imagine a business could survive selling tropicals that won't sell in high volume. Having said that, a number of years ago there was place in Delta by the name of Bit o' Paradise. It looked as though they were growing unusual tropicals from seed in this greenhouse and selling them. I don't know if they're still there. Master Gardeners Association of BC had them on their list in 2013: Specialty Nurseries and Suppliers Vancouver, Lower Mainland - mgabc (.pdf)
I was able to acquire a seedling a number of years ago from a non-local source that is no longer available. Currently the tree is about 4ft tall and just this year started shedding its bark, which I understand it must do before it can produce fruit.
