I have two areas where these are growing close to an oak tree. The oak seems relatively healthy so far and these have been in their locations for quite some time. The area around the oak tree was prone to flooding until grass was added to absorb a lot of the moisture.

I just wanted to confirm that these are turkey tail bracket fungus and if removing these patches would benefit the tree in any way?

    Thanks,
    Ben
