A friend gave me a slip of this over a year ago. Since I live in Maine, I keep this as an indoor plant until I find out what it is. It is magical to me. A blossom appeared from the side of one of the leaves, and lasted one day. Since then it has blossomed 4 or 5 times. Today I found two new blossoms, and was able to watch one open! At the end of the day, the blossoms look like a tiny, melted fist. I would love to know what it is!
Looks like some kind of Iris to me though I don't know what kind or for sure that it even *is* an Iris. It's very pretty and I'd be interested to know what it is as well.
I believe it is Neomarica gracilis, Walking Iris. http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s&q=Neomarica+gracilis&btnG=Search
